How To Study Computer Science For Boards Exam

HELLO.

Scoring 90+ in Maths ,Physics Or Chemistry requires hard work and full dedication.

But scoring 90+ in Computer Science requires no hard work, but requires SMART WORK and  dedication(little bit).

I don't know why every year CBSE has same question paper pattern for Computer Science exam.

Now this is very helpful to students like you to grab this opportunity and score high scores.

Here are some tips that will help you score high marks in the Boards exam.


#1  Using Right Books

Most important part of studying any subject is the book. Always buy the best book with decent reviews and price available in the market.

Fortunately, for our subject, we have hundreds of books available.

NOTE: Book #4 in my list is highly recommended. Its OK if you have old version of the book.


#2  Respect Class 11th Syllabus - Basics Are Important !!!

Class 11th syllabus Contains basics for C++ which are very important for class 12th.

Do a revision of class 11th syllabus to build a strong base.

Now, if you have the book "Computer Science with C++" by Sumitra Arora then do study the first chapter(C++ Revision Tour) twice.

Without the support from class 11th syllabus, you cannot score much in class 12th.



#3  Make Notes

While studying any subject, notes are very helpful.

While reading the book, underline the lines which you think are important. Trust me, sometimes you will find the whole page important, its OK.

 Now convert these underlined texts in your own informal language and then copy them in your notebook.

Understanding our own informal text is very easy compared to the formal text of the author.


Lets talk about the syllabus now...

#4  Easy Topics That Will Increase Your Score.

30 marks are assigned for "Object oriented programming in C++". This topic consists of Classes, Constructors & Destructors, Inheritance, Data file handling and pointers.

26 marks are assigned for Database & SQL, Boolean Algebra and Communication technologies.

Now these are easy topics compared to DATA STRUCTURES, hence practice these topics more.

File handling and Pointers can be tricky sometimes so read them at last.

But you can score maximum marks from these topics.

#5 Data Structures

In this Division, the only hard part is the last chapter of volume I, which is "Linked Lists, Stacks And Queues"

But the good news is that we have only one question for 4 marks on this topic.

Hence, don't waste too much time on this topic.

But do study Arrays carefully as you cannot loose 10 marks on this simple topic.It looks tricky but it only tests the logical part of your brain.


#6  PRACTICE

Download previous year question papers and do an analysis. You will see the similarities in all the question papers.

Now practice the question from the book#4 which I mentioned earlier because you will get same questions in you question paper.



So these were some important tips that you should follow to get high scores in your exam.

There is no need to give more time to CS than PCM.
